Introducing Boston Chiropractor Dr. Scott Diamond

"It was amazing." As a teenager I had injured my neck in a swimming pool accident. I couldn't turn my neck, and was experiencing extreme pain. My mother brought me to a chiropractor recommended by a friend. I was nervous, not sure what to expect. The doctor told me that my neck had a bone out of alignment and he would be able to help me. Instantly after the adjustment I could feel the motion coming back to my neck and the pain dissolve.

But, it was a few years later while travelling through Australia that I discovered how powerful chiropractic could be. I was feeling excruciating pressure in my sinuses, my body ached. I received an adjustment from a local DC and by the afternoon I was feeling great and ready to resume my adventures. I knew at that point that I wanted to learn more about this incredible connection between the spine, nerve system and overall health.

Dr. Diamond received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University, in Boston Mass. After taking a year off to travel Dr. Diamond then chose Life University to earn his doctorate of chiropractic. The four year course load included a heavy emphasis on human anatomy, biochemistry, x-ray analysis, spinal adjusting techniques and diagnosis.

Upon completing of his studies and passing all board and state exams, he returned to Boston, where he opened his Back Bay clinic in 1996.

Dr. Diamond is married to Wendy and has two lovely daughters, Chloe and Kayla. Weekend family time is well spent with outdoor activities, swimming and playing hide and seek. "I love seeing my kids in action." They know what it means to be healthy and active. And they understand that being adjusted helps them stay that way.

Being well and healthy requires us to utilize multiple modalities. My health care regimen consists of weekly adjustments which I have been doing for over 15 years. I see a massage therapist once a month, and commit to a simple and effective mediation / breathing exercise 4 times per week. I do my best to swim and work out 3 times per week.

Taking a patented, highly-purified and powerful Omega-3 EPA/DHA-enriched concentrate on a daily basis is a must. Reducing silent inflammation, EPA and DHA in OmegaRx can help support a healthy heart, a healthy brain, a healthy immune system, healthy joint movement, and balanced mood and sense of well being. Dr. Scott Asks some important questions of interest to Boston residents - Chiropractor Boston Dr. Scott Asks...

Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in vertebral subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
What are the two things drugs do?
Drugs can either speed up (laxatives, amphetamines, caffeine) a bodily process, or slow down (stomach antacids, sleep aids, antihistamines, muscle relaxers) a bodily process. Chiropractic care can produce the same results, but relies on the intelligence of the body. Chiropractors trust your body. Do you?
